I met Kate last year while helping out at my mom’s booth at an antique and furniture flea market. She looked so familiar to me that, in true fashion, I immediately struck up a conversation—asking about her engagement, her upcoming wedding plans, and, of course, whether she might be looking for a photographer. We exchanged information, and a few months later, she reached out with an unforgettable question: would I be interested in flying to Florence, Italy to photograph her and Michael’s elopement?
It was an opportunity I never could have imagined, and one I’m incredibly grateful for.
Elopements hold such a special place in my heart—the intimacy, the intention, and the freedom to celebrate love in a deeply personal way. I can only hope to be part of many more stories like theirs in the future.
